Rachel Browne is a 23-year-old vocalist / performer from Clonmel, Tipperary with valuable experience in both Musical Theatre and Pop. Rachel recently received her BAMus degree in Music and Gaeilge from UCC and will continue her studies with the PME in the coming year. She has received two awards during her time in UCC for performance excellence – The Donal ‘Doc’ Gleeson Award and The Sydney Regan Tuition Scholarship. Rachel has also trained with Voiceworks, Cork during her studies, successfully completing the Grade IV Pop and Musical Theatre exam with RIAM during this time.
Rachel has performed in many musicals such as Jesus Christ Superstar (2016, Creative Minds Productions) and Grease (2018, St. Mary’s Choral Society) and has also played many leading roles including ‘Eponine’ in Les Misérables (2015), ‘Heather’ in American Idiot (2017, Creative Minds Productions), ‘Deloris Van Cartier’ in Sister Act (2018, Creative Minds Productions) and ‘Henrietta’ in All Shook Up (2019, St. Mary’s Choral Society).
She is also an experienced events singer and has also participated in many local fundraisers and concerts such as “Music of the White Memorial” (2021) and “Midsummer Serenade” (2019) with St. Mary’s Choral Society, as well as “Listen Up!” (2019) and “Summer Sessions” (2018) and with Creative Minds Productions. Rachel also performed at “A Concert for a Cause” in Cahir (2019) in aid of the Irish Cancer Society, as well performing as a guest soloist with UPROAR Rock Chorus on two occasions, including “September Sessions” (2019).
