Claire is from Portlaw, Co. Waterford and is a Special Needs Assistant. She started Irish dancing at the age of 4, giving her the opportunity to perform in the Portlaw pantomime from the age of 5. This is where her love for performing started. She was also assistant choreographer for Portlaw Musical Society’s production of “Hansel and Gretel” in 2016.

She first graced the stage in Carrick-on-Suir Musical Societies production of “Mother Goose” in 2004 and has been constantly involved in their productions ever since. Claire later joined the senior society and was part of the dance ensemble for many of their productions including “West Side Story”, “Into the Woods”, “Chicago”, Oklahoma” and “Chess”. She also performed in a number of the society’s variety concerts. Last year, she was elected to the committee where she holds the position of Assistant Corporate and Patron Secretary.

Claire has completed grades 1-7 in piano with the Royal Irish Academy of Music and grades 1-7 in her Irish Dancing exams. Dancing has given her the opportunity to perform at Irish Festivals in Denmark and in Disneyland Paris on a number of occasions. She also performed on national television in “An Jig Gig”. Claire has a lot of experience of performing on stage and is excited to pass on her knowledge to the younger generation at Bellvue Academy.
