Lisa is from Clonmel, Co. Tipperary and is a Primary School Teacher. In 2009 she gradated from University College Cork with an honours Bachelor of Arts degree. Following this, she continued her studies at Froebel College and Trinity College Dublin, graduating with an honours Postgraduate Diploma in Primary Education in 2011. Lisa also has a Diploma in Child Psychology with the ATI institute. Lisa has completed her Diploma as well as an Associate Diploma in Musical Theatre with London College of Music. From a very young age she began her Speech and Drama education with the late Mary Cummins in Gable Youth Theatre in her very first show at the age of 8 years old. She continued on to attend Stagecraft Youth Theatre Clonmel, a company which she then worked in for 8 years thereafter as Director and Assistant Director. Lisa has produced many full scale productions for various institutions already including; Godspell, Disney’s High School Musical, Guys and Dolls, All Shook Up, Disco Inferno, South Pacific, The Snow Queen and Musical Mania to name but some. She has also directed many stage plays for various ages ncluding; Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Sleeping Beauty, Festival, Burying your Brother in the Pavement, The Land of Stuff, Our Day Out, Dragon Chaser, Dog House, A Vampire Story, The Odyssey, Animal Farm, The Tinderbox, Porky Pies,Twisted, The BFG, James and the Giant Peach, and Bugsy Malone.
As well as these, she has also coordinated many musical theatre showcases, and produces the annual Christmas pageant for St. Peter and Paul’s Church Clonmel and the Easter Passion Performance in St Mary’s Church, Iristown Clonmel. She has also facilitated many guest tutor workshops with various schools and groups, often coordinating the workshops for the group’s requirements such as conflict resolution, SEN, social skills or self esteem building. Lisa is fond of all things musical, having studied piano with the Royal Irish Academy for 8 years and private vocal tuition. Lisa still enjoys the occasional moment onstage and is a member of Carrick On Suir Musical Society, as well as a past member of St. Mary’s Choral Society Clonmel, playing roles such as Bet In Oliver! with St. Mary’s Choral Society, Consuela in West Side Story with both COSMS and St. Marys’s Choral Socity, the Genie of the Ruby Ring in the Carrick on Suir Pantomime; Sinbad and the Vampirettes, , Maid Marian in Robin Hood meets Frankie, and Michelle in COSMS’s Sister Act..
